This last pic, me and friend Steve both caught this fish together, if you look close you can see both hooks in this fishes mouth, the guide said he had never seen this happen before:

day 2 was just as productive, I have a pic but thought this was enough torture for you guys to handle!

I hope there were 5 of you fishing, or at the least you shouldn't say it was one day's catch! Lots of really nice fish, I'm real envious!

jim

yup, 5 including the guide! limit 5 per person per day, brought back 50 reds, 4 specs and 4 flounder and a beer induced hangover :D

Nice catch, any size limits? South Carolina has a slot limit. You can only take fish between 16 to 24 inches. I used to fish in Rockport Texas, my wife's parents home, where the "Reds" were many and large. Haven't been back to Texas for almost ten years, don't know their limits or bag size anymore.

Nice fish ! Looks like great duck huntin country too.You do that? As for the 2 hooks in the fish's mouth, in Manitoba,Canada one day my pal lost a big northern pike. His line broke.I cast where the fish last was, it hit my spinner,I landed it and handed my pal his lure. & dat is da TRUTH. :bleh: Whereabouts in La were you? Nice state, that.

C & C, size limit is min. 16" and only 1 of the 5 can be more than 30"

gulag, I am told this area is great duck hunting country, but I am not a duck hunter only deer as I feel it's my duty to remove as many as possible from the population in an effort to help keep MC riders in our state as safe as possible! The location where we were fishing is Golden Meadow LA. We have been using the same guide for 10+ years, Larry Robichaux, go to: saltwaterguideservice.com and if nothing else copy his recipes, those are the real thing if you like cajun food, these recipes come from the REAL source and not off a box--good, good stuff!! Headed back for another weekend trip March 24, 25 and 26!

Thanks, donaldb. When my FJR finally gets here (& this PDF or PDP or what ever this busllshit order system is called is over) the wife & I are heading to Baton Rouge to see a sick pal. Might call yout guide.Looks lika blast. Thanks again.
