R.I.P. Our Motorcycling Friend
So, I've set aside tomorrow morning to change out the fork springs and oil. Got everything ready to go; mcarp's write-up is printed and studied, beer be chillin in the back of the fridge, tools are at the ready, then a comatose brain cell suddenly revives itself and now I have a poser...
How do I know that the forks are realigned properly after I reinstall them? Are the fork legs keyed to the triple tree? Does reinstalling the axle take care of the alignment? Do I need an undefined tool? Stand back and align by eye? Will this dilemma cause hemorrhoids?
Thanks in advance for all the advice and wise cracks.
