All,
I just got sent to Japan by my company so I had to cancel my reservation at the WFO hotel. When the reservations number I got in an old email didn't work, I looked the hotel up and discovered that it had been sold and had a new name. It is now known as the Grand Sierra Resort. The reservations lady assured me that the Hilton name was still on the hotel and that nothing had really changed. I'm a Hilton diamond member and I was hoping they'd upgrade my room for free. I'll bet that wouldn't have happened now.
Anyway, this really blows. I got sent to Munich during WFO last year when it was right in my back yard and now I'll be in Tokyo.
At least there should be one $79 room now.
BTW - I tried to see if this info was posted elsewhere but I got so many hits on "grand" and "sierra" that I gave up.
Cheers,
Jim
