I am planning to take a week vacation and drive out to visit family in Oregon.

1st. Does anyone have a corporate discount or something similar to cut the weekly rate? That would be great!

2nd. Do i have to buy their expensive insurance at the tune of $27/day or wil my State Farm insurance cover me in a rental?

Thanks for any help!

ps.... I will be renting from Kingman,AZ and going to Oregon

You might call your insurance agent and see if they cover you while in a rented car.

If not, they may have a "rider policy" that could be cheaper than the rental agency's.

Check your credit card, many provide insurance coverage for rental cars, eliminating the need to buy their expensive option. Mine did when we did a rental in Ireland. Call the customer service line, as its impossible to find anything in the fine print.

If ya be goin near Oregon city (I want to visit my sis, she's got a pizza place there) and drop me off & pick me up after ya go do your visit. My little dog duke and I could split the gas and motel chgs & do some of the drive'n (duke don't drive put he's a good fjr passenger)

You sir, Have a PM!

State Farm does offer (at least my agent does) a rider policy. MasterCard also offers a damage/claims option.

I'd check with the usual online travel places for cheap rental prices. Some are as low as $10/day for the economy cars.

If you get around my way Adam I can save you a motel room. Just give a shout if you need it.
