I think the problem is more serious than I originally thought. Are you PWI?

There are quite a few places (as posted) that rent everything from sport bikes to BMW GS 650s.

When you get here, if you want to go for a ride on Oahu, shoot me a PM. By the way, I'm not a big fan of Zippy's at all....

https://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php?s...t=0&start=0 USAFFJR: Eric, Zippy's is fully Los Robustos M/C approved. We Los Robustos M/C members here on the forum rate Quantity over Quality; just to keep our bodies "fit"!!!

You have to have Loco Moco for breakfast. You just have to.
https://www.zippys.com/ Bill and John, Do you guys like Zippy's Restaurants as much as I do? I discovered Zippy's when I was working in The Islands as a Pipefitter. Now when I travel to Hawaii as a tourist, I must have my daily Zippy's plate lunch!!!

If you like Zippy's, check out the lunchwagons parked at different places around the island... especially where there's construction. Never ate at a bad lunchwagon, there's even some parked at different places downtown for the office workers.

They're not the same thing as the manapua wagons that drive around selling fried chicken, hamburgers, soft drinks, local goodies and candy.

Mary, great minds do think alike! You're 100% correct about Island lunchwagons. There's been an International Harvester green delivery truck, with flat tires, parked just outside Ka'ena Point State Park north of Makaha for at least a decade now!

You can get best teriyaki beef, chicken and pork strip sticks that you have ever tasted. Also Spam sashimi and shaved ices!

no zippys on kauai but they got bubba burgers, heading there right now.aloha.
Aloha, Bill! I know you and your Lady are having big fun! Sadly, Zippy's on Kauai is no more Bruddah. It was there when I was working Kauai as a Pipe Fighter, but Hurricane Iniki flattened the building in 1992. Zippy's never bothered to rebuild.

We'll see how things go. The wife didn't like the idea of doing the road to Hana on a Goldwing. That was my original thought, seeing the entire day is based around driving. So now I have to fit a bike rental in somewhere else. And if my only options are renting for an entire day, but I can only ride for a couple hours because of other activities, maybe it's a lost cause. That was really why I was looking for a guided tour as a backup. Something that's a set amount of time, but still giving me a chance to ride. Haven't seen too much for hourly rates.

renting a shadow tomorrow to putt around the island.heres a few shots from today.

sand trap for you richard where we are staying in princville

Well renting a bike didn't work out. And to be honest, I'm not real disappointed. We were so busy from sun up and beyond, I'm not sure we would have really enjoyed it. Plus my wife kept reminding me that we should be spending money on things we can't do elsewhere. I still wanted to rent one, she didn't want to so we compromised and I didn't rent one. However, we did have a fantastic time and hope to do it again.

Thanks for your input anyway. I'll be out plenty on the FJR come spring.

If by "PWI" you mean "posting while indifferent", I believe he is... :)
