Replacement rear shock

A 70,000 miles on my 04 I am looking for a replacement rear shock. I am a conservative rider and do not need the high performance shock that many of you favor. The stock rear shock works for me, but a stock replacement is big $$$$.

So, any recommendations for a shock some what like the stock one, but at less cost?

If you just want to replace the stocker, your best bet is keeping an eye on ebay and the 'for sale' section here. The only problem is you'll end up with another high milage used one more than likely.

Try and find a used one like not2shabby said. If that route doesn't work you can get a basic Penske probably for allot less than a new oem.
