Hey all. I love my FJR but the wind is horrible. I need a taller windscreen probably. Anyone know if there are any out there on the market yet?

That was talked about on another thread I think....& it was said that California scentific, & I believe rifle....were going to have them ready by months end....just don't take this as gospel....you should probably drop them an e-mail to be sure....

ok, thanks

CEE BAILEY is pre-selling their windshields. You can get +6+4 if you want. Flip, colors, whatever.

Website sez they begin shipping '06 FJR shields on 5/22. Already ordered a 4+4 and headlight shields. Never even sat on an '06 yet. But that "cone of silence" behind the 4+4 on my '04 is awesome. 'Cept in the summer.

Yes, Cee Bailey is taking pre orders and Cal Sci is supposed to have a product ready for sale in the next couple of weeks....National Cycle says end of June for their VStream on the 06.

I'm wanting one an inch shorter than the stock windshield on my '06. By the way, the quality of the factory windshield is crap. Its flexes a lot, and scratches very easily. Were all years like that?

Please let me know if anyone knows of a shorter one coming out.

Cee Bailey makes shorter windshields, too. And they are THICK. It's made of Aircraft grade (thicker) plexi, and mine has held up quite well.

Having said that, the shield movement may have a lot to do with the moving motor arm as much, if not more, than the thinness of the shield. My "Cee Bay-lie Window" still flops around some. Now that you mention it, though, I haven't really noticed it in a long time. Maybe I just got used to it.

Of course for shorter shields, there's always the hacksaw and cut off wheel!

The flexing I'm talking about is definitely the windshield itself.

As far as cutting it down, the '06 has a "bead" around the entire windshield (thicker than the rest of teh windshield). I'm afraid that cutting it down would weaken it even further, and it would look odd.
