I'd appreciate anyone's help?

I do not have a manual.

I have to replace the rear view mirror (LFT) on my '05.

Is there an archived thread on this? I tried to do a Search for

it, but didn't get much return.

How much fairing am I going to have to remove? Can the side

fairing piece be removed without taking the glove box out?

Does the fairing/plastic piece around the cluster (gauges) also

have to come off?

Or is there an easier way to get to the retainer plate (mirror fitting)?

thank you.

You just need to remove the three black plastic inner panels in a counter-clockwise fashion, starting with the one on the far right, to get to the mirror mount bolts. It helps to remove the fasteners on all four panels to allow for plastic flex.

Clickey for a write-up.
