Lets try this again. Have any of you folks participated in this rally. If so, any tips or comments.

Tell me more. Linky? I may be interested. I'm thinking about organizing a short rally near my home and I'd like to see how others do it.

Looks good to me. I submitted a registration request to the rally and an email restration request to the hotel for Friday and Saturday. They will accept pictures on a digital camera as proof for bonus locations. One more thing to look forward to this riding season. :D Thanks Canadian for bringing this to my attention. You planning to attend?

I am still waiting on an e-mail response from the rally master regarding the rally but I will likely head down. Sounds kind of interesting.

OK, I'm in....registered yesterday. Lets see what kind of FJR showing we can have at this thing. Here are a couple of pics of the area we will ride in.

Has anyone received an e-mail from the Rally Master regarding the rally? I have sent two but no replies.

This rally seems like a great way to start the riding season off.

I got this from Ride Master the same day I registered:

"This is an automated response from the Ride Master system and is a result of your registration in the 2007 Rhody Rally. Below you will find your registration data. Please review it again. Should you find any discrepancies, please contact the ride sponsor, Sean Lyons, at [email protected]

The 2007 Rhody Rally website is located at:

https://rhodyrally.com ... "

And I got a receipt from bong41 for my fee paid via paypal.

I also got an auto response from the hotel telling me that they would get back to me in March for confirmation, however, I got an offer to stay nearby so I won't be at the hotel.

You know if I didn't have anything going on the next TWO weekends after this I would go. Should stay near home to work on building up my distance travel abilities. I think I may need them this year.

I just realized that this is Mother's Day Weekend. This should go over big.

My county sportsman's clubs hold a fishing contest for children every year on Mother's Day. They claim it is a service to the Mothers because it gets the kids out of the house.

Anyway, you'll be home at some point on Sunday. :D

See you all at Gorge's on Friday night.

What time does "rush" hour start in Providence? Should I consider taking the 295 to avoid the 95?

Canadian FJR

I'm coming from the west so traffic isn't going to be an issue but every time I have gone through Providence the traffic can get pretty heavy but it always seems to be moving at speed but you may want to PM COTA and see what he has to say.

I'll be going east across Ct. I will avoid I-84 as much as possible and I plan on leaving early enough to miss the after work traffic. See you there.

So there really is life above the St. Lawrence seaway! I thought that was a scam by time share salesmen.

Hi Folks,

Great to meet you all, sorry that Graham and I had to take off early. There is some very pretty country down that way. We made much better time going home. 11.5 hours for 1200 km. Hope to meet you all on the road sometime.

** How did you do in the rally?
