A bmw buddy of mine from Dallas and I (i'm in houston) are meeting in Fredericksburg, TX Feb 16-19 for some riding in the hill country. We usually will put on about 300 miles per day while we are there. The roads in the area are excellent w/ very little traffic.

Let me know if anyone is interested.

Man, you are a glutton for punishment. I guess you like riding in cold weather more than me. I'd like to go, as I really like the hill country riding, but I think I'll wait untill it warms up just a tad.

GP

By the way, we have the same birthday. :good:

well, if it aint above 55, forget it.

the forecast calls for 71 on the 9th...there is hope. :hyper:

What time are you heading out each AM?

My brother lives in Wimberly and I might be able to free up that weekend depending if Cassie (daughter) and I are able to do our GL1800 Father & Daughter ride to Big Bend Feb 10-12.

Best Regards,

Shane

I may very well come and join you guys. I'm out in the Hill Country most every weekend as it is anyway. We'll see what the weather is (I can ride below 55 degrees :) ) and what the other half may have planned for Presidents Day weekend (Gubment workers, get more Holiday time than I do vacation time).

I'd like to come and will keep watch on the thread.

Tap, Tap, Tap... is anyone home?

You guys still riding the Hill Country this weekend? There is another FJR rider down from Shreveport, working out of Randolph AFB for a couple weeks, that wants to get out and ride this weekend.

So? How about it? Still riding? Maybe we all can hook up for a ride?

We are still planning on going as of 2day....should know more on wed.

If you are planning an overnighter let me know and i will shoot u the hotel info.

Probably won't be an overnighter. We would be out of SA and could meet up at, oh, say.. the OST in Bandera for B'fast? Then head out to whatever roads everyone fancies. :)

Or we can meet up anywhere that works for you guys.

there is another FJR dude coming that says he has to have pancakes at some restaurant in Utopia.

Not sure the name of the place, but I know there aren't many good places to eat in that town. We usually see bikes there.

Do you know it?? prob be there around betwn 10:30am - 11am if we can get the gang moving.

That would be the Lost Maples Cafe. More pancake than you can eat. :)

Are you guys out here to ride? Or sleep? :p Lets make it 1030 the latest. Then, depending on what y'all want to do, it's off to the 100 mile loop.

I'll need to be back into SA by 4pm Sat. Got your PM, will try and ring you up Fri. night.

might be chilly... :cold:

not sure how far away we are in fredericksburg

To be sure, it's supposed to be. Just plug in the electrics and crank up the wind screen.

Oh, your staying in Fredericksburg! My bad, wire crossed. I was thinking Kerrville. Well, then you do have a hike to B'fast. That's about 80 miles, give or take a few. Probably be an hour and a half, give or take depending on your pace and route.

Alrighty then. We will be in Utopia at the designated time Sat. I'll try and ring you up Fri evening to double check.
