Here is the answer to
"If there ain't no pictures it didn't happen!" argument.
Brian showed up at my house - on time. He told me to check the Forum just in case someone else may show up. We chuckled at the loving replies you all gave.
The main point was to get our radio/starcom/cellphone setup dialed in. Breakfast at Alice's Restaurant would be a good run to test it all out. We set our start time at 9:15 - plenty of time to get our bikes back together. Sure enough we rolled our bikes around 9:35.
We had a slight delay trying to find Alice's on Brian's GPS...
Naturaly an attempt to get a better view elicited this response...
Somehow I get the idea he wanted to do it in private.
We gave up and got rolling anyway, and made it all the way to Sand Hill Road in Los Gatos - across the bay from my house. Brian said this was the second time he was on this road and wanted to try the GPS again...
I was getting hungry and Brian wasn't making any headway. A bicycle had just passed us and I said he was going to get to Alice's before we were. I think brian was thinking twice about the 2 way radio connection we worked so hard to get. I learned a few words today.
We finally made it - no thanks to Garmin - and went and got breakfast. We saw another guy on an '04 pull up and thought he may have seen our post, but he wasn't on the Forum.
It was a bit chilly out this morning, Brian sure enjoyed his cup of coffee...
Of course being under the heater felt good too...
It didn't take long to polish off our Red Neck Breakfast - Biscuts n Gravey, poached eggs, bacon n hash browns - Good Stuff!
On our way back to the bikes we met a guy on a black ST and decided to ride with him back south on Skyline Drive. Brian and our new friend Jeff boogied on down the road and I, Captain Slow, pulled up the rear, running my own pace. It was nice being in communications, it made all the difference. The pace was spirited enough that the camera satyed in the tankbag.
Sorry you snow bound members, but we did the ride for ya.
The sun was shining, the grass was green, the birds were chirping, the cows were happy - you get the drift.
We got Brian home by noon in time to take his boys to their softball game.
A little later I was in my garage putzin around when the heavens opened up. I hope it wasn't too wet for the game.
All and all, we had a good ride today!!!
