Fred, That map has the restaurant in the wrong place. It's at the junction of 11 and 4A, right next to the Shell station we stopped at that day. Dan

I haven't seen MAPS.GOOGLE locate anything accurately and I would never depend on Google maps for anything important.

You may be right, Alan. I don't know because I just eat whatever they are serving when I get there. At any rate, 10AM ought to give us plenty of time.

Those home fries from the Blackball Cafe were so incredibly good!!
Why, it's like... indescribable.
I just can't believe we ate them!!
Also, Dan, sorry to tell you this, but this afternoon it warmed up beautifully. You missed out on the best riding of the day.
We rode all over the place down around the hills of Lebanon (GPS'es were being influenced by Hell Hollow), then rode across the Windsor Cornish covered bridge and down Rte 5 in VT all the way to Brattleboro.
The roads were in really good shape for so early in the season. And traffiic relatively light
Heck of a good kick off to the 2011 riding season.
And I just have to tell all you suckers that missed out on this breakfast run ...

Fred, It was actually warmer as I wended my way home. As I pulled into my street, the sun came out again. When I went outside an hour later, it was a beautiful day in the mid 60s. None the less, it was nice to get out for a few hours of pleasant companionship. Couple of pictures follow:
The Beams and the Ws puzzling out the seeming lack of activity in the parking lot of the BJR.
It would seem that the world famous home fries, along with everyone else at the BJR, were on vacation.
The Ws and the Beams consuming vast quantities of cholesterol delivery vehicles at the secondary restaurant.
Food was good, except for the prepackaged home fries. They couldn't run an IV for Fred, so he had biscuits with sausage gravy for his cholesterol loading.
Alan, providing the requisite food porn closeup. The good news is that it was a Western Omelet, so there were vegetables inside.
Following the repast, the Beams and Ws headed out to the hinterlands while I had to beat it home.

And what a glorious day it turned into. We were fortunate enough to sample the delicate range of spring in New England today. Pixs, food porn and travel report to follow... Dirt roads were traversed to break us free from the NE Bermuda Devil's Triangle of GPS Hell in Lebanon, NH which kept leading us to the map point of Déjà vu :lol: and lead us on a most scenic and beautiful ride once we broke free. You are never lost, just on a path to new vistas and cherished memories. Today was a really good ride :wub: Thanks to the Fred W for your navigation and good humor! My pillion camera mount loved the chance to re-shoot all the beautiful panoramas. Dan, after freezing off all the important bits, you missed a great ride. Then again, your doggie thinks you are the best person on the planet

Sorry to have picked up on this late....
Of course, couldn't have made it anyway, but.... got home from work in the morning yesterday and had a day full of working on completing a renovation project on the new bathroom. At least it's done! This way, when I can make the next breakfast run, I'll have a nice spiffy new place to put the remnants!
Will have to plan a breakfast run here soon. I'd like to try a couple of places I've driven by and wondered about before planning anything. Although, one can't go wrong with Parkers Pancake House (Mason, NH?). YUM!
