A good friend of mine is getting married in a few months. His fiance

contacted me for help. She wants to buy him a session at a street/sport

oriented riding school for a wedding present (what a woman!). He owns an

R1 (and an FJR), but I think he'd rather not take it out on the track and risk binning

it, so a school that provides the bikes would be better. He lives in the

Chicago area, but I'm sure would be willing to travel a reasonable

distance to do this. I went through a long list of riding schools

looking at locations without much luck. Can anybody shed any light on

this subject for me??

TIA,

Dave, don't know what you're looking for but Goggle motor cycle safety. That will link you to their locations throughout the

U.S.

If he's got an R1 AND an FJR I seriously think he is beyond the saftey rider course. Sounds like this guy could use a track day. Don't know any track days that provide bikes though. Chicago just recently opened up the Auto-bahn track which looks awesome! Great place to bring his R1 for sure. Never done a track day but if he's in chicago the below link seems most appropriate.

NESBA is a good BYOB option but if you want to use a school bike California Superbike school has a couple of classes at Blackhawk, near Rockford IL, in a month. Lots of other cool tracks too. LINK
