Don was my hero. He could dish it out but we all knew it was part of his humor. He did not have a mean bone in his body, and would only smile at any offensive attacks toward him.

I am not a bit surprised at all of the sadness expressed by the forum members. There will never be another Don like this Don. The forum is really going to be boring without his brand of humor.

Don was also a great father. He had so much love and patience for his son Seth. Seth you should be very proud of the great father you had.

I had to wait for the tears to subside before I could write these comments and now I feel a another round headed my way.

My thoughts and prayers to Donna and Seth

I've gone through all the emotions today.
Still trying to wrap my head around that Don is gone.
Life is too short.
the anger has passed, the sadness kicks in

I guess I am not the only one breaking in to tears at the drop of a hat

I don't understand the big picture I guess. Why Don? Why so young?

Just humbled to have known such an awesome human. sigh......sigh

Yeah I know what you mean ......BUT, you know I came to the conclusion that a lot of us are very LUCKY to have met the guy. I met him over 10 years ago at an FJR rally, some of you know I do show up at a lot of those, and was very fortunate to have met and talked with him many, many times over the years, and that I will cherish for the rest of my time. So let's all remember that, as hard as it is to have lost a good man like BEEMERDONS, also be happy for the time we had him with us...

I just spoke with Donna and she is devastated. I told her of the huge outpouring of love and support on this forum and that some requested an address. She was OK with me posting her address up here if anyone wishes to send cards or flowers.

Donna Monkhouse

Chandler,AZ 85248

Let's flood her with cards so she can see just how much Don was cared for on this forum.

us too. We first met Don and Seth at CFR in Nakusp. It was very easy to see Don's gentle patience and love for his son. Clearly he has had a profound affect on many lives and cared very deeply for so many.

Bryan and Marissa

I don't think Don is bending his elbow with an Irish Devil. I think he's been assigned to be cruise director to liven things up and make the other place more fun ... I'll bet his shoulder is 100% and he's already inviting folks to go for a ride.

Been out of touch for a few days and just came across this. Like many others I cannot verbalize my feelings and emotions. He will be sorely missed. Thoughts and prayers for the family and love ones.
