My starcom has been really a good system. RKA is a really great company. Looks like a good product and service they are offering. I'm not sure about pricing. You may want to shop around. Try bikeeffects.com for the starcom (and see their FJRforum discount)

Here is my system mounted below the seats. Of course, this is the 1st generation starcom and is about double the size of the new one

I just picked up a like new 26 liter RKA tank bag with rain cover for 85 bucks.

Regarding the electronics. Check ebay for powerlet bulkhead kits and do'er yourself.
