I had been seeing the news stories, and am still in disbelief. May he and his family find peace in his passing. I laughed, I cried, I mourn. Pretty sad.

I loved him as a comedian first, but he really became a PHENOMINAL actor. I hope that he is finally at peace with the demons that haunted him. My thoughts are with his family.

Very sad. Story is that he'd turn up to (bicycle) group rides in the Bay Area. Friendly, approachable.

Godspeed.

Can't recall who said it nor when.. But it was stated comedy was/ is generated by great suffering.

Williams is, or was one of the greatest ever to grace us. You have to wonder what drove him over the edge after 4 decades.
Belushi, Farley, and several who broke out the same time where ok at best. They were basically fucked up on pills and booze in order to entertain...

No way Robin could have been toasted for 35 plus years.

Godspeed Mork!

His bouncing-off-the-walls cocaine-fueled early days [1] were never the same once he got off the Peruvian marching powder and his stand up was never quite the same. Meanwhile (IMO) the calmer Williams became a good actor and gave us some movies worth watching more than once.

I won't make Mork references since he publicly rebuked those who did so to him when in concert (at least those I saw).

But an image from "Dead Poets Society" seems appropriate.

So sad another of Hollywood's funny men has died. I have enjoyed his work for years including Good Morning Vietnam and Good Will Hunting for which he won an Academy Award. RIP and thanks for the laughs!
