Hi all,

I've just planned my semi-annual ride from Abq NM up through the Rockies and North Cascades to Anacortes WA. I'll be overnighting in

Pagosa Springs CO

Wolcott/Eagle CO (on I-70) or thereabouts

Lander WY

Yellowstone

Cour d'Alene ID

or Twisp WA

I got a room at the Old Faithful Inn in Yellowstone on 7/4 (sheer luck) but haven't made any other hotel reservations yet. Any recommendations?

I've planned this route to take me up through Chama NM to Pagosa Springs, Durango, Ouray, Delta, to I-70 via 133 (a beautiful ride), I-70 to 40 and up to Winter Park and Granby, then almost up to Steamboat Springs but veering off to Walden. Then up to Rawlings WY, Lander, Grand Teton NP, Yellowstone. From there I may head up to Polson (to see family), then back down to Cour d'Alene ID, and from there across the north cascade highway (Twisp).

Warmest regards,

Sounds great, hope you haver a great ride!!

I just retruned from a NM ride. Including San Ysidro to Los Alamos. Boy, those curves get kind of tight as you get close to Los Alamos :assassin: . Also made the ride from Tres Piedras to Ensenada on 64, beautiful road :D !!!

Kyote, You mean Espanola. Ensenada is south of San Diego

And yes, the ride through the Jemez mountains to Los Alamos has fast sweepers (but watch out for loe's) and tight twisties. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Sounds like you and I are going to be travelling some of the same routes (although mine is on the way to WFO). I'm also staying in Pagosa Springs, and then Grand Junction on I-70. Last time we were in Yellowstone, we stayed at the big Inn on the lake, but the Old Faithful lodge would have been an experience worth having...

If either you or Kyote have input on my trip through New Mexico or Colorado, I'd welcome it...
