I thought the FJR was, I mean, IS fast! But this Hayabusa just keeps pulling and very hard. It wants to stand straight up and it wants to get to 100mph fast just to breath a little! Crazy power and I must admit I was a little nervous on it because of its power and that it wasn't mine.

Funny thing though, at 6'2" tall I expected it to be far more uncomfortable.

Anyway, I always wanted to take the famous "Busa" for a ride so I can say been there done that.

Bottom line is its no Feejer! :clapping:

I've ridden a Busa recently as well. A good friend of mine (who also still has a FJR) bought one last winter. I came very close to buying one instead of the FJR. I could not afford both (in addition to the FJR and Goldwing that I do have), and am glad I went with the FJR.

The Busa is a hoot to ride, but in the end, I typically ride 250 - 300 miles on a Saturday, and the Busa isn't what I would want to be riding every time. If I could afford three bikes - now that would be a different story!

My ZZR is pretty closely matched to a Busa and I've run away from one in the twisties before (lucky I guess). It's weird going back and forth between the bikes and noticing the differences. I've done 14 hour days on my ZZR before but I can tell it will be a lot easier to spend that time on the FJR. I can tell right away that the FJR is no match for the ZZR in performance but when it comes to long distance 2 up comfort the FJR is king of the hill. Not to mention it's fit and finish is light years ahead of Kawasaki. The maintenance costs I'll be saving also put the FJR ahead. I have to adjust my valves every 7,500 miles on the ZZR but the FJR is 26K! I've also got chain maintenance to deal with on the ZZR as well as replacing sprockets. The costs and time spent add up.

I do like having a rocket ship to ride though when the wife can't come with me...

I took the busa to 80 in first. I didn't know what the 3rd, 4th, and 5th gears were for. The busa has so much torque i couldn't tell any difference past 2nd gear.
