Hey all.

Now I know why so many of you buy aftermarket seats. The stock seat is fine for a few hours, but all day... forget it. Besides that, I kept nodding off while on the highway... and as you might have guessed, thats not too safe. I had a damn close call. My guardian gave me a nice audible reminder to wake up. I was about 2 seconds from going in the ditch.

I left yesterday and did 500 KMs and camped. I decided today to come home.

As soon as I click POST NEW TOPIC, I'm calling Marriott to give up my room. I had a single King sized bed.

Thats what i am doing since i can't make it either. When you canceled the room through Marriot, You returned it to their inventory.

Sucks about you nodding off; glad you're ok.

I did the first 8,000 miles on the stock seat. Not great, more stops. With the aftermarket seat I can ride a lot further between stops if I have to, but I find I'm still stopping as often for a break of some sort.

I'm kicking myself for not getting in the russell group buy last year. Now I'm torn between paying full price for comfort or suffering until the next group buy, to which I don't think my bum can make it that long. All day on the stock is painful....like sitting on a block of concrete. At least I have grip puppies, Bill's highway mounts & Kuryakyn pegs, and cramp buster providing comfort. The pcIII provides a much smoother ride... but still I need another seat and possible heli clamp.

Are you coming all the way from AB? If so, I can understand you turning around. :wha-smiley:
