Has anyone had any issues with AE clutch system when using Rotella dino oil? Owners manual states not to use oil designated for diesel engines but Rotella is also SJ oil.

I switched to Rotella T 5/40 synthetic and if fixed my down shifting problems. the bike would not down shigt at times running Castrol GTX oil. Rotella T synthetic is safe to run because it does not contain friction modifiers.

AE uses the same basic wet clutch assembly as the standard bike. Many have run (100's) thousands of miles w/o clutch problems. Owners manual is referring to 'CD' diesel oils from many years ago.

See above... I've been running dino Rotella 15w40 with no issues whatsoever. The difference isn't the clutch, it's the way it's actuated, so can't see how there'd be any difference between the A and the AE.
