I can't think of a better reason to get out of this freaking 'unseasonably warm' heat and go for a ride than to go eat pie! Niehart eat your heart out!

I am thinking of taking the trek to Pie Town, NM for their annual Pie Festival Saturday, September 10th. Anybody up for it? Weather forecast showing highs in the mid-70s! :yahoo:

Perhaps we can get some of our New Mexico brothers to meet us there? Pinhead? HRZilla?

0530 departure from the Goldfied Rd and U.S.60 Chevron should have us arriving around noon New Mexico time. Hang out and EAT PIE for a few hours, and head back, or perhaps spend the night somewhere like Springerville, or Show Low.

Who the hell rides that far for pie  ?!?!

Ok, I'm in.

But not overnight; going to Yuma on Sunday to witness 101st Pathfinder's BBB.

I,m headed to pie town, hope to see u there or maybe on the way...yaaaa pie town...
Cool!

Where are you coming from?

Mmmmmmm......pie!

(Just to get 'warmed up' for next weekend I HAD to stop at the Rock Springs Cafe this weekend to get a slice of their muy bueno Jack Daniels Pecan Pie. Good thing that place is far enough away from me - otherwise I would be fat like mi bastard step-pappy.

I was ok with this thread until you mentioned Rock Springs. Geez, that's hitting below the belt. One of the things I miss most about AZ is their pie! :clapping:

I am on the west side and will ride over to scottsdale rd to the beeline to payson to showlow,on to the pie......look for the dark 09 ae with new shoes......ride safe..

I can probably meet you guys there, since I can't get to Toas for the freak show this week. You'll come through Salt River Canyon? No! I could meet you in Quemado or Datil maybe. Let me know your route and apx ETA in those towns and I'll try to make it happen! I haven't been to Pie Town for the festival in 15 years or so! ;)

So, this is the kind of ride that seperates the Men from the little boys <_<

We gonna ride ride for Pie? or sit around playing "angry birds" on our iphones! I have been playing my own version of the game latley. On the last two long rides, I've hit three birds, and Damn were they "angry" with me, :dribble: what was left of them. :yahoo: We'll call it "Pie Butt 2011"
