Thanks for the heads up on no audio jack. That is a deal breaker for me. The search will continue.

Who? I run 3

What? Zumo 550, Nuvi 765T, and a 60CS

When? The Zumo is always on the bike as I use it for XM/MP3/Bluetooth to phone (I have a J&M CB-2003 and it integrates well after spending the uber $$$ for all the wiring). Nuvi goes on for long trips, 60CS goes on for rallies.

Where? Zumo is on left off the reservoir, Nuvi on right off a RAM brake lever clamp, 60CS is on the Helibar triple clamp ram small ball.

Why? They each are good at something and give redundancy/multiple views without changing screens.

How? Zumo routes to the next bonus, Nuvi routes to the next timed bonus and is used for what-ifs to see if I have enough time on the fly, 60CS is used for data (sunrise/sunset, speed, distance, etc)

I really wanted a 478 instead of the Nuvi as it is not waterproof so I have to use a ziplock bag over it which is annoying to read sometimes when the bag gets dirty. I just didn't have the coin to get the 478 when I needed it. I did try an aquabox but I found it was too big and the baggie did the job. One nice thing I've noticed with the 768T is it auto updates the timezone and is very accurate on where the line is from what I've noticed always changing within a few seconds of passing the timezone sign on the road. I'm surprised more GPSs don't have that feature.

I can officially be added to the list of people running 2 GPS units. I have a 2720 and a 550. The 2720 is mounted on a N-Line dash, and the 550 is mounted on a stem mount. I find that I keep the 2720 zoomed out, and use it for general information, while the 550 is zoomed in for more detail or on the XM radio screen as I change channels.

Awesome..... That makes you officially "certifiable" along with the rest of us :clapping:

Sorry for coming in late .....but what is a GPS? and it does... what?
Don't worry about it. Just keep following Bungie and we will never hear from you again. :p
So it's like that is it! :D

Hey, I was just following Christie directions through the headset going through downtown Ottawa with the entire crew in tow. At least I had the good sense NOT to make the left off the parkway that had a HUGE construction sign saying no left turns. Blame her. Actually, I wish I had a recording of the conversation in the headset it was hilarious! I believe 'Emily' sitting behind me washed her hands of it with the phrase "**** it! I dunno". After that it was just a nightmare of gravel, one way streets and pissed off taxi drivers. You should have been with us on the trip home. The GPS routed us down some freshly paved highway that turned to old pavement, then to gravel, then to logging road then to a 'ferme bridge'. I distinctly remember Christie giving me a french lesson after crossing that bridge BAHAHA! That road would've been challenging on your WR. It was to soft, rutted and narrow to turn the loaded big pig around.

I don't here you teasing Jeff, he's the guy who took the lead and promptly led us all into an underground parking lot. At least I kept us above ground! LOL!

The entire trip around the continent last Sept I only missed one turn and I'll take the blame for that. The GPS told me to turn and I thought it was still trying to route me to the hotel they denied us at. So I kept on going. Hey it was only 10 miles to the next exit and, turned into one of the best rides of the trip (Oregon Trail if I recall correctly).

Tom will correct me on this, but I think he led for about 30% of the trip, Rob led for about 6 miles. Every time before Tom led he asked me about the route. "Follow your nose for 300 miles". He was good that way :D Mind you when Tom leads, he thinks 100mph in a 65 is prudent. I'm not complaining, I let them run up ahead at 100 and I follow behind at 95. Gotta love bird dogs.

No correction. I think is about right... Oh wait ... Rob lead us to his Uncle's house and then tried to get us to the ferry. That might have been more than 6 miles. ;)

Those Ottawa memories are priceless Steve.. Granted it was a bit maddening for a spell, I'd do it again if given the chance ;)

Damn! Tom went somewhere?

I recall passing a shouldered RCMP while following Tom at a shall we say.... brisk pace?

I was certain we were not going to make CFR if those guys were paying attention.

Say.. your right, didn't we get a bit lost getting to the ferry? He said it was the scenic route and I fell for it.

That's okay, pay back is a ***** and I've got a package going down to him tomorrow. Make sure you ask him to post a pic of what I wrote on the box. (No joke)
