Very sorry about that GunMD! Heading up the Pipefitting Division at Metro Mechanical, I never care what my guys and gals look at on their lunch hour over the Internet, so I often forget that others may be monitored. Please scrub it off your reply.
Many thanks, Don
No worries. I work for the military...they can't ask as long as I don't tell.

I hear that's kept you safe for some time now....

Update: Just received a post from Tom Dahoney; Tom lives up in Vernon and will be meeting us at Carrizo Store, intersection of 60 and Highway 73 on route to Fort Apache. Tom told me that Matta's has changed hands with new owners since I was there last. So, we're going to eat at Guayo's instead. Unless anyone else has some recommendations para la comida???

Well, I finally got this ride done yesterday! :yahoo:

FJRobert and FJRFritz joined me, though FJRFritz rode his girly bandit bike.

Oh, and Senor Stanley, El Pendejo Grande, there is no restaurant named 'Guayo's'. See photos below.

0700 and ready to depart from Wildflower Bread Co.

A short construction wait on US60 between Superior and Globe. We weren't behind those Harleys for very long. ;)

And lunch in Show Low, at Fiesta Mexicana. Not Guaya's.

An excellent ride with excellent weather. Except of course coming back down the Beeline into desert hell.

GregM: Nice ride report and many thanks for letting me know that Guayo's is out of business. I'll post this link over to AZB!

Our Sunday 7/27 lunch stop will be: Fiesta Mexicana Restaurant, 350 E. Deuce of Clubs, Show Low, AZ 85901 928-532-3424.

Great weather for this time of year too. From my house it was just over 450 miles roundtrip. Just long enough to enjoy the trees & prime up for NAFO ! (And be home for dinner)

Here's the weather report in Show Low, Arizona at the time we will be having lunch: High of 80 with a 40% chance of rain.

According to www.mapquest.com this route from Chandler and return is 375 miles. We will take a rest and photo stop at the bottom of Salt River Canyon. There are facilities; and Native American vendors selling jewelry, some snack food items.

Since not everyone in the group may want to ride at the same speed, Carrizo Junction at 60 & 73 will be a rendezvous spot.

https://www.internetautoguide.com/gas-price...6232/index.html Here's a gas stop.

One last stop in Payson for ice cream and this will be about a 8 hour ride from start to finish; including tire kicking & BS'ing.
