Guys in San Diego having a mainly sport bike poker run for charity. If you have ever wondered about this type of run and why all the Harley guys are having fun doing it, then check this link/ride out-

I posted the following on the other forum:

"I wanted to thank imcav8r for putting this event together. The BBQ will be at my house following the ride and we'll do our best to make it a lot of fun.

This fundraiser is for an excellent cause.

We lost our brother-in-law and close friend a few years ago to Leukemia. He was 33 years old and wasn't feeling well. He was told by the doctors that he had the Flu and to get some rest. Knowing that he just felt achier than normal he requested that they take some blood. He was called a couple of days later on a Saturday morning and was told that he had the disease. For those of you who do not know it is essentially a cancer of the blood. He passed away the very next Saturday.

What makes Leukemia different than many other diseases is that they are making tremendous strides towards finding a cure and this makes it a particularly great cause for the poker run.

I am not very active on this site as I tend to be on fjrforum.com but do look forward to meeting many of you and am grateful do be involved with the event.

So thanks again to imcav8r, Larry and the others who are working on the poker run and anyone can e-mail me if anything comes up that I can help with.

PS If somebody hypothetically wanted to get the chicken strips off of their wheels before this event without actually tearing it up in the twisties…so as to look like a hot shot rider…how would they do that um hypothetically?"

I wasn't going to post anything on FJRForum since I wasn't organizing the ride, it wasn't my place to do so. Now that I see it here already though, I would definitely encourage you to join us. It should be a blast and is for a great cause.
