So I might be flying to San Fran to ride a sweet 2003 blackbird back to louisville.

Here's what mapquest says.

clicky

Now, I'm ok with slabbin it, but 2300 miles of slab is rough.

I'm wondering if anyone has some reccomendations about what roads I might be able to take to keep at decent speeds (60mph plus) that may take me through or close too some of the parks in that area. (like Yosemite, Glen Canyon

I figure CA, UT, and CO will be the states where I try to hit some twisties and visit some parks.

I've only got about 5-6 days to do this trip, so trying to balance highway vs. backroads is hard, but it would be a damn shame to look back at an opportunity like this and just slab it the whole way!

Any reccomendations appreciated.

I guess it all depends on how much ground you can cover on the fun roads in that 5-6 days. I would start getting off the slab just east of Reno. Take US 50 into Utah and look for some other routes from there. Doesn't WarChild ride around that area a LOT? Maybe you wanna PM him just in case he misses this thread. I bet he would have some good info.
