Finally pulled the trigger and picked up an 07A at local dealer. Since we now have a couple feet of snow on the ground, told them I'll pick it up in the spring. It was still in the crate, so figured might as well have it assembled just before I pick it up. Really helpful having the dealer invoice pricing from CycleBuy.com - well worth the $15 to download. With all the information from the forum and the invoice pricing, it was a quick deal (FYI, OTD 12K)

I think that'd drive me nuts,,having a new bike & not being able to see it for months. If I was single, think I'd put it in house (redneck style) use it as a chair !!! it'd be easy to install accesories

P.s. how many folks will be sitting on it at shop?

Hey. That's a sweet price. Congrats.

I've got about 50k miles on FJRs so far. The bike still kicks me in the pants on every ride. It's a great machine.

Cool beans. Congrats on the bike and condolences on having to wait so long for a 1st ride.

What dealer did you end up making the deal with?

Sealed the deal with Reynolds Motorsports at Buxton, ME. Found a couple 07A's at Freedom Cycle Concord over your way, but Reynolds was willing to match any price I could find. I suppose in the hope I'll have my service done there.

Ah, but if I could just afford to upgrade...

But nope. I love my '05 and I almost have it fully farkled to my personal requirements (yeah right).

Oh, and of course there's always the irrefutable fact that blue ones are considerably faster. ;)

+1

Congrats on the new bike

Congrats on the new bike. Once you start riding it, the next spell of winter will drive you and your credit card nuts! Start saving, while you can ;)

Welcome, I once lived in Yarmouth. My son is living on Peaks Island this winter. I plan on riding up this summer. Lots of good roads, have fun.

Sweet! All that money you saved on the bike will find it's way straight to Farkles.

Equal torture to waiting to ride it will be breaking it in! After 600 miles, you will be an even happier man.

I'd bring that baby home and put 600 miles on it riding it in circles around the garage til the weather broke.

But seriously I couldn't stand paying for it and leaving it there for months.

You could take it home and get to know your new baby and show it love by adding farkles.
