satellite locaters

I hope I'm in the correct forum area for this subject, anyway I did a search on satellite locaters and found some info on one called STAR TRAXX and it seemed to have some good and some not so good stuff said about it. I read about a knew system called SPOT and was wondering if any of you had any info on this system. Thanks Jim T

I bought the Spot a couple of weeks ago but haven't been able to test it on the bike due to the crappy weather here. Tried it in the truck and it seemed to work as advertised.

Spot works well but has some limitations. Can't email a map page and must give your password for people to track you. Spoke to them at the Miami boat show and they claim that those issues will be fixed. So far makes the wife feel a little better and will work in my tank bag.
