Scala Rider G4 and G9 firmware update available

On www.cardosystems.com new firmware versions for G4 (3.2) and G9 (1.5) available. Release Notes:

G4

BMW Bluetooth Audio System Compatibility Pairing Mode (tested on BMW K1600) - The scala rider G4 can be paired simultaneously to a mobile phone and a BMW Bluetooth Audio System. Pairing with a BMW Bluetooth Audio System:

In Standby mode, press the Volume down button for 5 seconds, until the Blue and Red LED's begin flashing rapidly.

Search for Bluetooth devices on the BMW Bluetooth Audio System and follow the instructions to select and pair to the scala rider G4.

Improved compatibility with Android OS

Improved compatibility with Garmin Zumo 660 and A2DP Music streaming

Improved microphone sensitivity for softer voices (to enable, set VOX Sensitivity to High)

Added tone at the start on an Intercom call

Other minor bug fixes and improvements

G9

Added support for new languages:

The scala rider G9 now supports:

Russian

Portuguese (Brazilian)

Japanese

New language settings apply to:

Voice Commands and Voice Recognition technology

Firmware update for Scala Rider G9 v.2.0 available from today. Changes and added features (if it will work as announced it is great improvement):

Dual Bluetooth connectivity: Connect two mobile phones (or a GPS device) simultaneously and talk hands-free.

Music Sharing™ technology via A2DP: Music Sharing™- Rider & Passenger listen to the same stereo music (via A2DP)

Intercom to Mobile: Divert intercom calls automatically to your mobile phone when out of range.

Phone Buddy: This new feature allows hands-free calls to any pre-defined telephone number, for example: calling home, office, partner, etc.
Using the Cardo Community, phone numbers can now be included in the "1+8" Buddy List.

Music Scan: This features allows you to "Browse" through your playlist without having to changes tracks manually. With music ON, press + (scans up) or - (scans down) for 5 sec. The first few seconds of each audio track will be played. To stop the scan on the current track, say any word loudly into the microphone or press "Volume +" button for 2 seconds

Hello Guys - for your information, there is new Firmware available for Scala Rider G9X and SHO-1 - V.1.4:

Support for the all new "Cardo SmartSet" android App v2.0
Fixes:
GPS navigation instructions not heard over intercom calls – Fixed.
Removed double "Beep" from navigation instruction prompts.

Based on fw description for sho-1 yes, but I did not have a chance to use it yet.
