Scenic rides to WFO?

Marianne and I are going to skip riding the slab and trailer the scooter to a friends home in Boise from Portland. My wife despises riding on the freeways! From there we are thinking of taking 2 lane roads thru Central Idaho and into Wyoming and then down to Park City. Maybe #21 to Stanley and then up to Salmon on #93 and down #28 to #33 and then East to Jackson, WY and down either #89 or #189 towards Park City. Has anyone ridden these roads and what are your suggestions? We would return to Boise via some variations of these routes. Really welcome and appreciate your comments!

From Jackson on down through Pinedale and then down through the Flaming Gorge to Vernal Utah is a great ride. From there it's a bit south west to Park City. All good roads.

If you get to Jackson Hole a fun and scenic ride to park city is to follow the Snake river by going south west on 26/89 to Alpine. ( if you like curves and photo op's, turn right at Alpine junction to skirt the Palisades Res. it's an 18 mile trip to the dam and worth it. Now turn around and head back through Alpine, Wy. and down through STAR VALLEY toward AFTON. ( largest elk horn arch in the world ) Stay south on HWY.89 through SMOOT, up over Salt river pass and down to COKEVILLE. Drop down to SAGE, WY. and shoot for RANDOLPH, UT. HWY16 to EVANSTON is now the quick way to PARK CITY. HWY. 30 to BEAR LAKE is o k if you take have the time to scope out the lake. I recomend being off this route a couple hours before sunset because of large game crossing.

Another great ride if your in WESTERN WYOMING: South of ALPINE is FREEDOM, WY. ( Home of FREEDOM ARMS for all you gun nuts ) Go west on HWY. 34 out of FREEDOM and up over TIN CUP PASS to HENERY, Id. and on to SODA SPRINGS,Id. From here south to BEAR LAKE is fun, or HWY. 30 WEST out to I-15 is an alternative. This ride is a SMILE MAKER
