and last but not least:

Hope this helps !!!

But seriously folks;

No, Richard, I have not installed one in a Schuberth. Have you ever removed the liner, etc., ?

Receiving a phone call from Fairlaner while on the bike at 80mph and him having no idea. $0.00

His reaction when he realised I wasn't in a cage and was actually talking through my Autocom. Priceless!!

I see that phone call cost you few $$ eh? :D

Sorry about the blatant humor/hijack there - (NOT  )

Back to your original question -

Have you had your Schuberth apart? When I installed into my Caberg, the styrofoam actually had recesses and groves designed for accepting cables, speakers, etc. I would imagine that the Schuberth has similar, and the installation points may become self-evident.

Schuberth being a very high-end helmet most likely has accommodations for installation.

No i haven't as there is no obvious way to take it apart, I was hoping someone could tell me how to get it apart that would be a good start.

It is doable, see here:

This Schuberthe helmet has a Chatterbox Multi Sport Plus munted to it. PTT, bike to bike, rider to passenger it does quite well. Standard Chatterbox mic mounted in chin piece. Speakers fit into honed out foam at ear locations. Wire routing is tricky but doable. I have used this setup for hours and hours. What kind of headset do you have Richard?

No, I didn't need to take the innards out. I just worked behind the cloth liner and dug into the foam a bit. It is a Auto Headset when the PTT cable/button is not plugged into it. HTH

So Richard, you have about SEVEN helmets now. Maybe it makes more sense to install it on your head so you can transfer from helmet to helmet! LOL. You will still need all of Hal's pictured tools though. You are becoming the Imelda Marcos of helmets and yes I am jealous.

KD, How did you get the speakers into your Caberg? When I looked at one it appeared there wasn't enough room for the autocom speakers. How do you like the helmet?

Phil

Now to put the autocom under the seat :ermm:

Well that whole thing was a lot of worring about sweet FA.

The helmet and autocom work great together.
