I was reading the Seattle Times newspaper this morning and found this article on idiotic male behavior. Great read - well at least I found it amusing. Those who take life seriously may not as some of the reader's comment attest.

For those who can't go riding today - like me - bum left wrist, healing well - this could be among the day's highlights.

Read about the terrorist who did not put enough postage on the letter bomb, the guy using a belt sander on himself and learn 88.7% of the Darwin Awards went to males, hence men are idiots.

Have a nice day!

Does anyone think it a coincidence the author is one of the Y chromosome deficient?

No... that can't be significant at all.

Men take risks just for fun and sport because, well... it's what we do.

It hearkens back to times when the males of the tribe were required to physically protect the Y deficient child bearers from dangerous man eaters and such, for survival of the species. Now it's just for fun.

Most women don't understand the need for such adrenaline stimulating, risky activities. The goal in life, according to them, is to live as long as possible, right? That sure seems to be the female position, and quite honestly they seem to be doing a better job of achieving that. Maybe it's because the men do not really buy-in to those goals?

It may be significant that it was not a female that wrote:

"The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over."

So ....Dare I ask why the bum left wrist?

I have a slightly frayed tendon and a bit of tendonitis. Occupational hazard from keyboarding coupled with a physiological predisposition for tendonitis. Most folks have something wrong, I have musculoskeletal disorders. Also hit the turf instead of the golf ball in September that hurt like hell.

Wrist brace along with a cortisone shot and I am well on my way to recovery.

Glad to hear you're on the road to recovery.

Thanks! Me too. For three months after hitting the turf rather than the golf ball the wrist just got worse. So after 2400 mg of ibuprofen each day for 4 weeks with no relief I broke down to see the doctor. Xrays, MRI, wrist brace and one cortisone shot later I am making progress. Yeah!

The motorcycle needs maintenance and a few household chores are not getting done but it can wait till spring.

Got to get well to go to Mexico with Beemerdons in March. That is going to be a blast. And there is no f'n mosquitoes. I hate mosquitoes more than I hate deer.

Dang it, I can't get this new Voice Recognition software to correct the above spelling. Had to post it as is.

The latest issue of American Motorcyclist has an article entitled "Government to mandate V2V Communications." I fear Mr. Einstein was right.

FHWA has been on the verge of V2V for about 5 years. None of the manufacturers want to do it, so they've put it back onto the Feds: what protocol, what frequency, what power level, etc. etc. etc. MUST not interfere with Bluetooth, cell phones (although it would be great if it jammed texting), AM/FM/Serius, secure or not, privacy protections, ...... and you get the picture.

Unless of course, you're an ***** like me.

In the interest of my own damn skin while riding on motorcycle I wish cell phones were blocked from user input while the vehicle was moving. The GPS would work and stuff would work, excepting for fingers pushing the damn buttons.
