Actually, I think great pains were gone to produce a bracket attached to the rear suspension to give the appearance that the license plate is attached to the rear wheel. Anything that can make people ask "how can that possibly work?" Sort of like how for a while, hollow rear wheels and drive by rollers was all the rage in the chopper world...I was impressed by the license plate attached to the rear rim.There is no logic needed when dealing with fashion.
Practicality has been sacrificed for style but that's OK if it makes you happy.
