Has/does anybody used one of Scott's stainless oil filters? I got one free from Vancosport( great guy to work with), and I am just wondering how they worked. Any difference in engine noise? I know they flow more oil than a stock filter, didn't know if it might make a difference in the amount of oil getting to the top end.

Have one on my 05 FJR with 57k miles. no problems at all. If you plan to keep the bike long term then the Scott filter, IMHO, is a good purchase. Hope this helps.

Ditto.

'03 w/22k miles. Although it's a ticker, that happened long before I installed the Scotts filter.

Have one on my 05 FJR with 58K miles. No problems.

Ran the same one on my '03 for 48K before that with no problems. I totalled it, was rebuilt, and I know its still running (without my Scott's filter) and being ridden by a new owner.

I would never have bought one myself, but since it was free, what the hell. I was going to switch over to K+N oil filters, but this seems better. Plus it looks sweet.
