I always wonderd why no one ever made a "sky luge". A jet shaped one man glider for paratroopers. Something you could do a high altitude jump with and glide wicked fast for a couple hundred miles. Like riding a sled laying down face first. Man that would be kick ***.

I look at the turbine's exhaust proximity to the feet wonder if it doesn't a little warm

Go here and copy/paste this:

https://www.jet-man.com/actuel.html into the "Translate a Web Page" box; select French to English and click "Translate". You will get a brute force word for word translation of the web page (without regard to syntax).

As a long time hang glider I don't see a whole lot of advantages over my non powered wing. With a performance glider wing like a WillsWing U2-160 flight speeds can get pretty high and it will turn and maneuver much better than the powered wing. With good pre-flight planning it is possible to do extended flights with a hang glider. Now, if they can figure out a way to foot launch the powered wing, sign me up!

I would be on that in a nano-second (thats really fast for those of you in Hooterville).

:glare: I wonder if I could take out about a 1M insurance policy on this dude with me as beneficiary - he ain't long for this world, pretty cool though.

Good luck the first time he hits turbulence... or better yet, a flock of geese....

You guyz all sound like a bunch of granny-FJR riders. Come on now... That thing rocks! The closest you will ever get to truly flying. I wonder what the top end speed is? I nominate TWN to go first!

Alright, Timmy-boy. You're totally out of control now. I'm going to have to call your mother.

Obviously a fake video. Amazing what you can do with CG these days. ;)

If that were real -- you'd see him talking on a cell phone and cutting off the other aircraft.

;)

I was wondering how big the "SSPPLAAAATTTT"

would be on the face of El Capitan in Yosemite? It does remind me of the move "The Rocketeer". :yahoo:

As for ME strapping that gizmo/watchamacallit onto this er, uhm, rotund body....not likely. But I'd like to watch TWN do so. :clapping:
