I spoke to the Service Rep from Yamaha for 30 years. He swears by Ring Free and says he has since it was made. Says there is nothing better. Was not trying to sell me just school me. And while he said it came out of their boat division, it is all that and a bag of chips for their bikes. I have used it for 8 month religiously and bought a case of 32 oz bottles. It is not Snake Oil IMHO and was nice to hear someone affiliated with Yamaha for so long recommend and swear by it. As always your bike, so you can piss in the tank, or put what you want in it, but with the carbon we are seeing on butterflies in the intake tract it can only be worse down the intake line. Think piston tops, rings, valves, and fuel injectors. My FJR is not going anywhere so time will tell if it was money well spent. I know the Marine Sta Bil(blue)is a must up here in the North with the Ethanol fuel they force feed us. I use this mix in my Turbo car and the FJR.
