Came home with a fork seal leak the other day. Got busy and ordered a Sealmate. My vendor sent me the SealDoctor instead. It's a nice little tool. Watched a couple videos before digging in. Cleaned everything up and dug in. You wouldn't believe the **** I pulled out from behind that oil seal. Now maybe 500 mi. later I continue to get , not a film, but a haze on the tube. Must be oil trapped in the lips of the seal. Had a bitch of a time getting the fork protector off. Used a screwdriver and chewed the **** out of everything. GPS did my forks and never left a mark. There has to be a combination.

I just did my right fork seal few weeks ago. Used a business card as the seal mate! Worked like a charm. I will say, I found out the fork protector is not supposed to removed.(DOH!) I chewed the crap outta mine with a screwdriver and realized that protector doesn't need removed! I hear once they are removed, they must be replaced.

If the business card was paper I'd be careful........tearing it and having a piece stuck in there would suck.

The "Sealmate" is only $4.99.

I used a laminated business card.
