search engines

Since there is always somebody searching for something on the net; I was wondering which search engines are mosy commonly used by forum members?

I have always used www.metacrawler.com

Go to "advanced" search

I have been using this for 10 years, but if somebody has a better one...post link please. Thanks.

Been a fan of google.com for a long time now. Its pretty much the only search engine I use now.

I use https://dogpile.com/ it's similar to meta.

I used to use dogpile and even ask Jeeves once in a while. For the past several years I have been using google exclusively.

Google consistantly does the best job for me. Tried most of the others listed but end up going to Google the most.

It depends on what you are looking for.....Many site are geared towards a certain logic that will find info for you in one area but will be totally lame in another area. Google gears its results to the most popular sites (Most hits) which can lead to missing info from smaller lest popular site. There is no one perfect search engine....
