Used the search function bit never got quite the info I was after so ...

I have an '05 with a Cobin GF&L seat. I hate it, gives me a sore butt after 2 hours.

Looking at upgrading; have a saddleman on my gold wing which is excellent and saddleman for the FJR looks relatively inexpensive.

anyone out there using one? I need a seat I can sit on for 14 hours without getting butt burn.

Talked about recently here. I find my hits searching on +custom +seat or +custom +saddle.

I've had a corbin saddle for four years now. It fits me perfectly, although its like sitting on well formed concrete. I'm hoping it will wear out this year, so it'll give me a good excuse to replace it.

I had a Saddleman track style seat. It blew. Got a Sargent seat. It rocks. My buddy and I switched FJRs for awhile. He was diggin' on the Sargent seat too.

Stock FJR saddle was good for maybe 1.5 hours. Loved the bike, but the saddle was a deal-breaker for anything other than a short spin. Good news/Bad news: Russell saddle is amazing. Literally, 14+ hour rides absolutely no problem. Bad news part; 1) bike out of commission while stock seat sent to Russell for custom fitting - 4+ weeks in my case, and, 2) Russell saddles ain't cheap. However, now that I've ridden it A LOT, and found there's apparently no practical time-limit (butt-limit???) in the saddle, I've kinda forgotten what I had to pay for it. Would I do it again? Yep. In a heartbeat. It's worth saving up the sheckles for. My 2 cents...
