Fairly good show but no Triumphs? Guess if you sell everything you make, you don't need the exposure.

Free undercover cycle parking which was needed when it snow 4 inches on Saturday. Some of the bikes had to stay over night. I had 5 inches of snow when I got home about 10:30 PM & it was still snowing hard.

And yes it did cost me more than the price of a ticket to go. Damn those farkles!

What, no pictures?? What kind of farkles did you get for your hard-earned moolah?

Went to the show as well. Also noted the absence of Triumphs for at least the third year in a row. Very odd. Owning an FJR already, I focused my attention on other bikes. Lots of attention to the new BMW 800GS. Nice looking bike and TAAAALLLLL. I kept wondering by the KTM stand . . . the 990 Adventure is pretty cool kit. The sport bikes get harrier and harrier. I worry when I look at the young lads climbing aboard the new Busa and tucking in behind the screen.

Spent lot of time at the KTM stand [likie but not cheap]. Buddie of mine that rode the FJ1200 to WFO was working the stand.

I think BNW might have hit a home run with 800's but as you said, damn, they are tall.

Seems to me the bike show is like going to the local fair every year........big deal!

With the exception of a few bikes, I surprised I spent 2.5 hours in there. Would have spent more time, but the new B-King chased me outta there!

Had to hit the Ducati section 3 times, but mainly to see the nice Brunette sitting out front! :p

Think I don't get too excited cuz I can barely mount the new Sportbikes which I still have a big hankerin for. The new Kawi 10r felt like I would go over the front if I hit the breaks to hard. The new cbr1000rr wasn't as ugly in person, but still too cramped! With leathers on, I think I would find it hard to get my boots on the pegs.

What really dissapointed me was when the Toyota gal said "$44K" for the Tundra! Paid less than that for my '03 F250 PSD Lariat!

OK..OK..OK.....What really dissapoints me is the cost of goods these days and lower back and wrist pain!

Rant over...

I enjoyed the show seeing the new Buel was cool I liked how that had the cut a way motor and bike. Eric designed the motor and rotax is building it for them, haven't read any reviews to see if it's any good. The Ducati booth was nice made we wish I was young and dumb, I know my FJR is a way better all around machine but the Duke's are sexy, a couple of their bikes had hand guards like the V-Strom that I liked better than the V-Stroms that I bought I liked how they went on the bar ends better, don't know that they would fit but I liked the look. The VMC had a great bunch of vintage bikes and I found out that that Castle Rock started hosting AMA TT and ST events again this August, so that will be on my ride calendar this August (nothing like the smell of Castor oil). I did find a pair of XL Deer Skin gloves that fit. My big find was when I stopped by the Ride West BMW booth a guy gave me a quote on insurance from GMAC that was $600 a year cheaper that Gieco for about $360 a year! So now it look like I can afford some more farkle's. So for me it was a good day talked to some good folks saw some good stuff.
