Selling on eBay Advice

I do a lot of buying and selling on eBay and thought I would give some advice to the forum.

When you list something for sale on eBay people will send you a message asking if your item is the same as this other item? The message will include a link to the other item? The link will take you to a website that will look just like the log-in for eBay.

If you look at the address bar of your browser you will notice that it's clearly not eBay and the person is trying to scam your user id and password. I would always recommend responding to messages directly from your "My eBay" page and not the one that comes via email.

Also watch for "Second Chance" offers that the seller never sends, hijacked account names also being used for phishing expeditions, if you have an Ebay account, check at least weekly to see if someone is using it for this purpose-they like seldom used accounts with good feedback but little use.
