Anyone had both standard and slim speakers of the newer style?    I have a new helmet and the speaker pockets are kind of shallow, the standard speakers stick out a bit.   I contacted Sena and the rep told me that the "slim speakers" are .2mm thicker than standard but 5mm smaller in diameter.  That doesn't make sense to me.  Reviewers on the commerce sites talk about how much more room they had but no specifics.  Not gonna spend $50 to gain nothing.

I read the numbers at Revzilla but didn't believe it because that's about the same as the regular speakers.  I was hoping it was wrong and that someone here had direct experience hence the first line of my post. "Anyone had both standard and slim speakers of the newer style?"     Sorry for sounding impertinent but I didn't ask because I don't know how to do a web search.   I was thinking that "slim" speakers ought to actually be slim and it has been my experience that often company customer service reps have no experience with the product and just read information off an outline or manual.

I haven't bought from Revzilla in awhile but do recall they had/have a liberal return policy.  Also don't recall what their limit is for free shipping but it might be worth a phone call to them.  I always thought their customer reps were pretty helpful.  If after explaining your concerns you still get vague answers then maybe order a pair if you know you can send them on back should it not be what you thought.

$39 gets you free shipping, and they have a pretty liberal return policy.

Bought some spools from revzilla for my Z400 awhile back. I pecked in the bike model, year, 'n stuff, get to the Oxford swing arm spool page, then when I go to actually buy 'em, there's a selection of sizes.(6mm, 8mm, 10 mm.)  I just guessed on a size, and it was wrong. Dun had ta pay $8 to ship 'em back, (1/3 of the value.) then took a couple weeks ta get reimbursed. I got the correct parts at TST Industries and am a happy camper.  Also, tried to get a full Acro for the same bike at suckzilla, 'n they said they can't sell it in Kalifornia? Went to SoloMoto and they sent it to me in a few days. Fuc revzilla! Just cuz they're the 1st ones to come up when you Google sumpin, don't mean they're any good; in fact, they're the worst! I'd keep searching, and try to find yer moto stuff elsewhere.

OP,  THESE are only (5mm) allegedly.
