Serial power outlet

When I bought my 07 AE I found a serial power outlet sticking out near the steering head. I have used it to power accessories and a battery maintainer on our long North Dakota winters but I can not find one on my New 08 AE that I just purchased. Do FJRs come with this power outlet or was my 07 an anomaly.

It is not a factory piece. FJRs don't come with the serial plugs.

I purchased the 07 as a new hold over so the dealer must have installed it for some reason.

The dealer probably had it originally put on for a buyer who wanted to use one of the older Garmin GPS products. The age would be about right for the IQ (or however it's spelled) that somebody I know had about then.
