OK...I know it's Friday...and I don't want to end up at the bottom of the "dog pile"...again...like I did last week. So I used the "search" feature, as recomended during the Dog Pile I stepped into last time (I didn't even know there was such a feature. Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm not too well versed on computers, so get over it and gimme a break!). So I searched this form, for this topic, before I jumped in. The only post I see related to this question was posted 2 1/2 years ago, so I figure it's OK to ask again. So I'm askin'....

For those who don't do their own wrenchin', who would you recommend that will do a good job, in the Marysville to Auburn area. Who should I stay away from.

For a long time I was very happy with Skagit Power Sports. I moved away so don't know now but its worth a try.

You're OK El Camino Kid... I recommend you take your bike to Ignacio's MotorBike Repair shop. I can provide phone numbers and addresses..

Desert Valley Powersports, Prosser, WA,

If you don't mind taking a ride..., it gets no better than this in thre PNW!!!

They know the FJR as well or better than anyone and are completely trustworthy and competent.

For more local, Monroe Wa. Adventure Motorsports has had some good Puget Sound area reports and service awards recently.

Skooter's bike, Flipper, was here last about two weeks ago changing oil.

There's still residual tip-over infection and the quarantine has not expired for civilian bikes. Of course, mine has a hard-fought acquired immunity for fallover syndrome.

Adventure in Monroe performed my ECU and ignition switch recalls / replacements. So far they are batting a 1000 w/o any problems and everything put away properly and in place. --Good Luck

Hallelujah! I must be out of the dog pile, cause Friday is almost over & I haven't been reprimanded yet!

OK...so here's the deal... I appreciated all the imput and I mean no offense, but Prosser & the Tri-Cities are just a teenie bit too far to be driving for service. I checked with the auto parts store and they don't have any chains that will fit an FJR, so getting there in the winter would be a real bummer. But Adventure Motorsports, in Monroe is do-able. Twenty-six point two miles, door to door. Ignacio clued me into the Dealer & Vendor Review Thread and Monroe is mentioned, favorably, several times. I'll stop over there on Tuesday and get something set up with them. And I'll tell them ya-all sent me. Thanks again for the help!

+1 for Adventure. Seems to be a decent service department. If you bring them your wheel, Shiny Side Up in Everett will change the tire and balance for $20. Also seems to be a good independent shop with reasonable rates.

+1 for Adventure ( Monroe) ,they do good work and another +1 for Adrian at Shiny Side Up ( Everett) . He knows SB's and has worked on FJR's a lot. A really nice guy and does a great job.

Thanks guys...It sure helps to know "people who know". I appreciate the tips. I'll be talkin' to Adventure & Shiny Side this week!

Hey Paul, another FJR rider in Edmonds! I have had good experience with any service I have had done at Adventure in Monroe, but I have also had a few things done at Seattle Cycle Service and have been very happy and they are much more conveniently located in Mountlake Terrace. Just off of 220th near I-5.
