Seeking recommendation for East Bay preferably but willing to travel

I suggest you try Scuderia in San Francisco.I have had consistently good results from them over the years with different make motorcycles. They are both very honest and the mechanics are unusually competent. The rest of the dealerships and independents are only as good as their mechanics who unfortunately are often mediocre or just downright menaces with a wrench. This is usually because they poorly paid and as a result are often taking off for greener pastures.

For some reason Scuderia seems to attract and keep the better mechanics, probably because everyone seems to like working there. Scuderia consistently is rated the best repair facility in the Bay area. On several ocassions I have used Scuderia to fix problems that other facilities (Berkeley Honda, Marin Motorsports) have bungled.

Watch out for repair facilities where the mechanics are paid based on a percentage of the customers bill (usually 50%). This often results in these mechanics padding their bills.

The only downside for Scuderia is that they are so popular that it can take weeks to get an appointment.

I've used Concord Yamaha with their 5 star rating the mechanics have been consistant with no problems. I've heard good reports from Mach 1 Motor Sports in Vallejo also. Hope this helped...PM. <><
