SHAD Top Case Question

Hey Folks,

Thinking of getting a small SHAD case, either the 26 or 29 model.

Don't want to carry much, just a jacket extra clear face sheild ect. (I'm aware of the sub-frame issues so I'll be careful with weight)

My question is, will the case bolt right on to the stock FJR mounting plate on the rear with the SHAD mounting gear provided, or do I have to buy something else to mount it? I've never had a top case before.

Shad makes an adapter to mount in the 3 bolt pattern of the FJR rear rack. See attached link

So the case comes with a "universal mounting plate" but then you have to buy another mounting plate specifically for each bike for another $51.00? So much for the "universal mounting plate".
