I was told that the locals are targeting motorcycles on 421 through Mountain City, and Shady Valley.

Unsure as to the validity of this -- but my folks called me to warn me.

One other thing. FYI in general - new technique. They will let you go by whether traveling in veahikual or parked up an on ramp and blast your ***.

I've had conversations with the LEOs at Shady Valley before. The consensus is have fun, but don't run cars off the road, don't cross the double yellow, and don't ride recklessly.

Also, the main bike days are saturday, and particularly sunday. We'll mostly be riding through on Friday. Also, there are a couple of rally's and poker runs through Shady that weekend (saturday and sunday).

Oh darn... we can't go ahuntin' Hardleys?

I was through Shady Valley both days this weekend and the TN Hwy Patrol and Johnson Co. sheriffs dept. had bikes pulled over every time i went through the twisties. I made 5 trips across total from the store to the playground. THP was on the store side and sheriff was on the Mtn. City side. I saw a guy and girl from Fla.go down a couple of curves before the playground. I think he hit the front brake a little to hard and lost the front wheel. No injuries but big damage to the Honda. Watch yourself this coming weekend up there. I'll be trying to stay awake on the night shift at work. Bob
