Shipping stuff to WFO (or any other riding destination)

As mentioned in a previous post, I am debating riding the FJR up to WFO from San Diego or heading up early and trailering my WR450 and the Feejer and getting some off-roading in.
If I ride the FJR, I was considering sending a box to the hotel with additional clothes and such.

Would this make me a high maintenance, limp d#%k, bed wetting, money wasting, metrosexual?

or

A forward thinking, efficient, well organized, Type A, over-achiever?

BTW- I am well aware that I am lobbing a softball with this thread but seriously, do y'all ever ship things to your riding destinations?
Not at all, your room awaits...

If you have a secret crap habit- :help:

The UPS Store # 1372

1776 PARK AVE, STE #4

PARK CITY, UT 84060-0770 - USA

Phone: (435)649-1819

It's between the Marriot and the Liquor store.

Walking distance :drinks:

People are going pretty easy on you here so far, fella  .I hate to bag on a fellow San Diegan, so I'll say this: Get a topcase, and become familiar with the constant loss clothing system.
I believe it was... um me who suggested that if I do ship, I may be a:

"limp d#%k, bed wetting, money wasting, metrosexual"

so I obviously I tried o beat the forum to the punch as I knew what I might be in for but never the less, I like do like the idea of riding with less on the bike if convenient.

I do agree with JB's point about the freedom and independence of being able to just go wherever with everything that you need. In fact one time, I got on my bicycle in La Jolla, San Diego and headed north with some gear and ended up in his neighborhood 7 days and 700 miles later... no map, no plan, no friends. Finished the trip by crossing the Golden Gate and cruising into Sausalito (sp?), took the ferry back to SF, cab to airport, and Southwest home.

Anway, I was expecting the dogpile but am surprised that a few more people haven't chimed in that hey occasionaly ship.

Shipping for me is only when the SO can't pack it & take it home on the bike (thank god).... .....

Me thinks the beer trailer bringing beer from another state is a good idea. Isn't the beer in Ut. 3.2% alc.?

I was on the road for 5 weeks last Sept and the only shipping I did was a box of stuff I sent home from the road. Couldn't fit the crap I bought along the way (plus some dirty clothes).

Well, if such is the case, I'm now accepting orders.
You got someone running block for you in a Screaming Chicken-hooded 'Bird, good buddy, c'mon?

:p
10-4, that'd be the one and only jwilly. Even got him a Burt-wanna-be hair piece on order for his balding patch. You know, gotta look good in case any Sally look-a-like muffs need to skip a wedding.

edit: ****, that means I gotta tote the frikin' dog.
