Between the weather on the weekends and a crazy work schedule I haven't put mile one on the ol Feej in almost a month :( Suffering major withdrawal!!!

Anyone else feeling the sting of no ride itus :(

Sorry to hear of your withdrawals but I can finally say I am no longer sharing the symptoms.

After the most rain for an October in the history of Arkansas we had a fantastic Twisty Butt Association ride -- Arkansas All Day 500 -- this past weekend!

Hope your symptoms go away as well.

I had those symptoms really bad last week when it snowed on Tuesday/Wednesday. I call it PMS, Parked Motorcycle Syndrome.

But it all melted and I rode 500 miles on Saturday and Sunday. It was 74 here today.

I haven't ridden in almost 4 hours. Thank goodness I'll be back on it in about 7 1/2 hours.

Still have a few more decent riding days here in MA before the crappy riding weather arrives.

I have only ridden about 2000 miles in the past 12 months. It would have been nice to get my back fixed last spring, but the VA couldn't do it until September. My wait ends later this month. Not being able to do the things I love the most or over a year has nearly pushed my to the point of checking out for good a few times.

Yeah....I hate withdrawal!

Let's see.....It's 8:30 and I rode into the garage around 5:30. I won't get back on the FJR until around 04:20 tomorrow morning.........

;)

You should live in Canada from October to April NO RIDING UGGGG!!!!!
I haven't put mine away yet, in fact, I got out for about 3hrs on Sunday. In fact, their calling for 10C temps her in Northern Ontario this weekend. Granted, you don't get much riding in this time of year, but once a week or so is just enough to keep the loonies at bay.

That being said, the bike will probably be put away after sometime in the next week.

In Minnesota we call these cramps of agony, stiffness in your lower regions, and general crabiness... Male PMS (Parked Motorcycle Syndrome). It has no cure that we know of (until Spring) and can sometimes be arrested temporarily by attending a mid-winter IMS (Intl Motorcycle Show). We even have PMS sessions where dozens of sufferers can commiserate with each other and sometimes cry (into their beer) in order to feel better. A few have been known to fight this disease by adding studs to their knobbies and race on the ICE. I personally have winterized 2 of my 3 bikes, and wait until the snow flies (and sticks) before parking my #1 steed (FJR) for the long slumber known as winter.

Rode back to the San Francisco Bay area on Monday from Beaver Utah... Morning temps were between 21-23 degrees with average though the desert at about 33-34 degrees. Was not as concerned about the temp as the sand on the roads and the deer. I have never seen so many hit deer alongside the roads as I did on this trip. The desert is spectacular this time of year. Death Valley had very little traffic and the air was clear and still.

We got out last Sun for a couple of hundred miles down to Md. for some crabcakes at Woodys Crab House. I thought that might be the last ride this year, but, they are calling for sunny skies and temps in the upper 50s this Sunday. Clear your schedule and get out. :yahoo:

I haven't driven a cage since Labor Day weekend.

Morning temps are dipping into the 20s, OK if it stays dry.

I feel my riding days are numbered, for this year at least.

Here's hoping for a short, dry winter. ( Yeah, right! )

50 degrees is about my low limit. If I have to dress like Yukon Cornelious to ride, it"s time to put it away for the season :cold:

Electric gear is your friend. I've got heated grips and a Warm n Safe jacket and I can ride well below the 50s. (Yeah, it does occasionally get that cold here.) Add heated gloves and pants and I could ride into the 20s or 30s, I'd think.

I know of some guys who ride down into the teens and twenties. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I'm from Vermont and I know all too well what you are talking about. Good thing I have a snowmobile. It helps get rid of the PMS for a bit when I'm snowed in.
