Shoei Neotec - Size Large

Parting with my lightly used Shoei Neotec helmet, Size Large, Color Black. Comes with 31mm and standard 35mm cheek pads. Also includes pinlock insert that has never been installed. Price new less than two months ago was $560+ dollars. Asking $450 and I'll cover shipping (continental US).

I bought this to replace my broken HJC Symax II helmet, and had originally gone in to purchase a Symax III to replace it with. Between a good salesman and my desire to upgrade to a better helmet, I wound up with the Neotec instead. It's a great helmet. Build quality is definitely a step up from the HJC, it's pretty light, has great eventing etc. Problem is, no matter how much I try to like it, it's just not the right helmet for my head

. The HJC's aren't as nice, and a bit louder, but they fit my head better. So my loss can be your gain.

No doubt, it's a great helmet. Just not for me . The worst part is that it's "almost" comfortable for me, but it just never feels "right".

Funny thing about fit. I currently have three Shoei helmets, an RJ Platinum 3/4, a MultiTec modular and a J-Cruise I just bought lightly used. Clearly, I like the "Shoei Fit", but for some reason, I don't like the Neotec fit on my head. I've bought two and both times sold them. I'm gonna get one more year out of the multitec before I throw it away. Maybe Shoei will have something else for me by then.

It's a problem. I want to like the Neotec! I just feel like it squeezes my pumpkin more than it should.

So which kind of head fits best in the Neotec? the Fat round head or the oval? I have had an Arai Signet a Long time ago, and I have a couple of Scorpion's, but I pretty much live in my Nolan N103.

I have a wide jaw, and at first the Neotec was pretty uncomfortable there. The narrower 31mm cheek pads fixed that problem for me. Both the standard 35mm and the 31mm are included with the sale. Heck, the replacement pads cost another $50 :/
