Long story short, years ago when my oldest turned 16 Geico was the cheapest when I added her to my insurance. Since then I have not bothered to shop around as my rates kept going down every renewal................
NOT GOING DOWN ENOUGH!
Was bored at work yesterday, got on Progressives site and now I'm ashamed of myself for never looking beyond my previous coverage.
My bike rate was cut in HALF!
My auto rates were cut by 2/3.
3 times the amount of benefits, way more coverage over all and half on all the deductibles. :yahoo:
So I saved the quotes at work got home and called, nothing changed from the site quotes and I instantly swapped all my goods over to Progressive.
When I called Geico to cancel they just didn't get it as to why I would cancel after so many years of service. I asked can you match "this"......"noway", "well that's why".................click.
Another thing about Progressive that I was impressed with was the fact my Jeep Rubicon would be covered in an off roading accident for cheaper than I was paying through Geico and the fact that if Geico ever found out I was taking it off road they would drop me instantly.
Maybe I should have shopped around more as I keep getting told by friends you need to check out my guy etc etc. Most of those are small companies I never heard of ever.
I'm content with my one stop shopping choice.
It does pay to shop around!
